The Officer role is created by the Administrator and belongs to the same group. The Officer is primarily responsible for the creation, management, and use of the CA hierarchy. This includes:

  • Generating CA keys

  • Creating and managing the CA hierarchy

  • Creating and managing CRL/OCSP services

  • Creating and managing CA, user, and OCSP certificates using certificate profiles created by the Administrator

  • Configuring the scheduler

  • Revoking and reinstating certificates as needed

  • Performing complete key recovery activities as needed
