# Backup Restoration

This provides a means for a CA Administrator to perform a secure restore operation to restore the contents of those backups at another installation.

Note: Before starting this, make sure you have backup and restore folder created, Hash value of backup.

Open the URL (varies with client eg:[http://somehost:someport](https://emca.emudhra.com/previous-release-versions/v4.0.13/user-manual/backup-and-restore/http:/somehost:someport) /emCA) on any browser. You will be displayed with emCA login page. You will be displayed with emCA login page (If emCA utility is installed). Refer image below.

Note: If websocketutility is not installed, then emCA websocket utility download popup will be displayed. Refer section “Installing emCA websocket utility”.

Enter email id of CA Administrator and enter the Token PIN Figure above.

Now click on Login button.

On successful login displays emCA set up page for the first login. On the Dashboard page, click on “Restore” displays below page .

Enter valid Database “URL” where you want to restore. Refer below screenshot.

On the page above, enter the Username of database.

Enter database password.

Click on “Test Connection”

Once connection is established successfully, it will navigate to next step (Figure below).
